Primary focus is breeding and foaling out mares for customers who own great cutting horse mares. After the foaling season the business turns to fitting and pre-conditioning sale horses for the NCHA futurity in December. The training facility is year round.
Rick Mowery
An Arizona native, Rick grew up learning the cutting horse business from his father, a top trainer. Rick has trained some of the top cutting horses in the industry. Rick serves as a Board of Director for the National Cutting Horse Association, he is an AQHA Professional Horseman, and is a AAAA NCHA Judge, Mowery is considered one of the country's top judges.
Shelly Burmeister-Mowery
Shelly's decision to concentrate on horse breeding has also brought the pair success as she was awarded "Breeder of Champion" with her mare "Some Kinda Playgirl" who produced the 1998 NCHA Open Futurity Champion "Some Kinda Memories" In addition to her hard work at the ranch Shelly is seen weekly by millions as a top equine sports broadcaster on Fox and OLN. In 1990 Shelly was inducted into the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame.
